Party gatherings
Celebrate your Child’s birthday with discovering what to eat on the land/seashore or make fire! I use a head, heart, eye and hand approach to learning so that they leave with a feeling of awe, inspired and having learnt something to bring into their lives with wild food, fire making, seashore exploring and fire-side crafting.
One wild food cake/treat included per gathering plus a wild craft to take home.

Age guide 6-11yrs.
Held by adult facilitators experienced in Nature connection and outdoor learning.
Cost £200 (min. charge of £180 for less children) per group of up to 10 children. Duration 1.5hrs, 2 parents to stay with the group, extra children £18pp.
Choice No.1 – Seashore safari: seaweed, slime and salves.
Wander the shores and be introduced to the magical world of what lives on the shore.
They will:
- Discover the range of colour and types of seaweed and the creatures that live amongst them.
- Experience the hidden delights of seaweed and how to capture their magic in a little pot of silky mermaid salve/conger eel slime for your skin!
- Learn about the seashore habitat through play and games.
- Wild food example: Beach biscuits or cheese straws.
Choice No.2 – Fire and forage: Making fire, wild food and a hand-made firelighting bag.
Caught out in the wild and needing to cook your food, but you haven’t got any? This is the party for you.
They will:
- Explore the hedges and edges for wild plants, learning through play and first hand experience, led by curiosity.
- Start their own fires without a match and know different methods of fire-making.
- Make a fire starting pouch by the fire and fill with tinder for their next fire.
- Wild food example: Chestnut and wild seed biscuits or nettle cupcakes.
